The Market Ready Brief is an enthusiastic group challenge that we were asked to do. A thoughtful project with ideas, sharing moments, patience, colaboration and group work.
The aim of this project is to give us knowledge while working in projects that give us the idea of a real industry work situation. This project will be quite helpful while working within disciplinary and creative skills, it will help us too on ‘develop professional confidence and navigate individual and collaborative approaches to working.’ This final phrase got my attention because I believe it is something I really need to work on, my professional confidence.
This brief ask us to present a group manifesto along with a brand that can represent us all and our selling products. We had to reunite with the group and get some quick sketched ideas to present on this same afternoon:
Presenting our collective brand and who we are
We didn’t have any collective brand ready yet and still don’t have. I believe it will be the hardest task, to create One thing only that can describe 8 totally different people.
What products we want to create together for the market
We aim to create an inspirational kind of artwork where quotes will be the fundamental.
Our products can be given at any occasion so we want to have a range of affordable gifts however we will have a selection of Christmas cards too, as it is going to be a Christmas Market.
Decide on a small range that will feature our designs
Present initial ideas of how the products can be made. Example: printed, hand-made, etc
Our products will hopefully be all printed. In objects, t-shirts, bags and much more.
Who will it be for? (our target customer)
We wanted our target customer to be like us. Students! And because we know that (almost) all students have certain things in common like: young, inspired but poor and tired, we want the products to be quite cheap, a affordable price for perfect gifts!
The group has to be reunited again, and there is still a lot to think and re-think, a lot to do yet, but hopefully, we are going to be the winner group so we can have a free table in the Christmas Market this year 🙂
